I’ve decided to change gears a little in order to work for a more diverse client base. I know your budget defines your wedding, so here’s my solution.

I’ll shoot all of your wedding–from the rehearsal through the reception, burn you a high resolution disc of the best of the best images that you and your family can print from forever and I’ll only charge you $2500.

Does this mean I don’t do albums?

No, I can and will do custom photo books and albums if you so desire…

Does this mean I don’t get proof prints?

No, I can and will order and deliver proof prints if you so desire…

Does this mean I can’t have an online gallery of my wedding images for family and friends to purchase prints from?

No, I can and will provide an online gallery if you so desire…

What this really means is… I will provide you with the most creative images possible for a simple fee, with no hourly limitation of coverage . And if you so desire, I can create albums, deliver proof prints and upload web galleries for an additional fee. I can also bring a photo booth to your reception for an additional fee. Regardless of add-ons, you’ll walk away with a disc copy of the best images that you can print from—big or small.

working on a series of abstracts from the utility sinks at school. the whole series spawned from an in-class shoot— i was attempting to open the student’s eyes– to find art in the most unexpected places. for is art not a mechanism of perception in itself; the simplest of ideas, that beckon our attention if we choose to awaken the senses to them? i made one b&w frame and returned to document several of the sinks in the art department. whether the students gained from the shoot, i know it broadened my horizon as to the art at hand. enjoy…

This year was an interesting year for me, with climaxes that included my Artist in Residence with the Art & Culture Alliance, all the soundboothcreative.com happenings, the Big Ears Festival and the adoption of a dog, some would classify as a small horse, named Ruger. Forgive me, it’s been three months since my last post. I confess to having ample time I dedicated to repurposing vintage thermos’ into lamps and wanted to share them here. Stay tuned for more lamps and for the etsy page you can buy them at. I’ll also have soundboothcreative prints for sale on etsy soon. Happy New Year and if you need to illuminate that dark corner of the living room in style, a thermos lamp might be the perfect fit. Note, these lamps bear the imperfections of having a previous life, though this in no way belittles their ability to shine. Enjoy!

i was honored to be a part of one of the newest ways one can find out what’s going on in knoxville. take a look at knoxivi.com. their flagship show, 11 o’clock rock is streamed live and highlights musicians, artist, businesses and anything cool in town. the internet based broadcast group operates out of market square in downtown. today i shared a bit of my soundbooth project with them and you! the interview falls between the 43-48 minute marks of the wednesday kirk fleta show and is archived for viewing anytime. by week’s end upland south, the black lillies, kirk fleta, hudson k and brent feito/lars prillaman will have performed on the show. check it out… and you can even watch the shows live at their studios over lunch.

and on the soundbooth front, this friday is yet another opportunity to check out part of the collection, at the square room in market square. free wine and cheese will be available to those of age and i’ll be around to share more about the work. if you’d like to see more from the series, here’s your chance. the prints can also be viewed online at soundboothcreative.com!
