two-thousand five was a interesting year for me. it was the year i helped a dear college friend, as a driving-chef for a month in baton rouge, la., after she had broken her ankle. it was also the year i move across the country to a staff photo position at a newspaper i knew better than to work for. however, it was there i was given the opportunity to document a hindu betrothal ceremony in the belly of mormon country. yes, you heard correctly, at the sri sri radha krishna temple in spanish fork, utah—also home to the annual llama fest, now in it’s 14th year!!!! and the mountain biking was the best…

it was also the year of my dear friends jason and jodi bazel’s wedding. my stipulation for the shoot– they had to feed me and put me up in their home in the denver area for a week’s time. and if you’ve ever eaten at the bazel house, then you know i got the better end of the deal… but that’s enough about my colorado eating habits. here are some selects from the two events.
